PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiation device which reliably hardens a sealing agent positioned behind a black matrix or wiring. SOLUTION: The light irradiation device has a first light source section 11 and a second light source section 12. The first light source section 11 has a first holding face 11a formed so as to face a translucent substrate 31 side and a plurality of LEDs 21 placed at the first holding face 11a. The second light source section 12 has a second holding face 12a formed so as to face a translucent substrate 31 side and a plurality of LEDs 22 placed at the second holding face 12a. In the first light source section 11 and the second light source section 12, virtual lines X1 and X2 in a longitudinal direction of the first light source section 11 and the second light source section 12 are placed so as to intersect at an angle other than 90°with respect to a moving direction Y of the translucent substrate 31. In the first holding face 11a and the second holding face 12a, one is oriented to the moving direction side of the translucent substrate 31, and the other is oriented to an opposite direction of the moving direction of the translucent substrate 31.
