PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system capable of remotely controlling a plurality of peripheral devices by one electronic device by simple operations and processing operations without limiting the applications of the device. SOLUTION: In the system, on the basis of remote control link setting information set in a remote controller R1, when the time to start the operation of an air conditioner 200 or a lighting fixture 300 which is the peripheral device and the time to end the operation come, a remote control signal S2 or S3 for operating the peripheral device received in the remote control signal reception part 18 of a television 100 when setting the remote control link is extracted from the prescribed storage area of a storage part 15, and is transmitted from a remote control signal transmission part 19 to the remote control signal reception part 22 or remote signal reception part 32 of the corresponding peripheral device as a remote control signal S4. Then, the peripheral device which receives the remote control signal S4 starts and ends a prescribed operation according to command information included in the remote control signal S4.
