PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment apparatus with new features, which has a small type, but has a large treatment capacity and is capable of separating a stirring tank from a sedimentation tank. SOLUTION: The water treatment apparatus is structured as follows: a stirring apparatus is disposed in the center in plan view of the stirring tank. The stirring apparatus includes a shaft extending in the vertical direction, a stirring blade fixed on the lower end of the shaft and a motor as well as a cylindrical tube which is disposed so as to cover the motor and whose lower end is open. In the side wall of the cylindrical tube, there are formed multiple through-holes. A cylindrical tube is positioned so that the stirring blade is positioned to protrude from the lower end of the cylindrical tube and the water to be treated, charged into the stirring tank from sideway of the stirring blade is directed downward by the rotation of the stirring blade, rises upon hitting a bottom wall and is sucked into the cylindrical tube from each of the through-holes, thereby generating water flows running from downward to upward in the stirring tank.
