PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine powder removing apparatus for pellets improving failures such as fiber diameter unevenness and single yarn breakage occurring to fibers when carrying out melt spinning using pellets increased in the degree of polymerization by solid phase polymerization. SOLUTION: A fine powder treating apparatus for pellets includes a casing 1 receiving pellets with fine power sticking thereto; a pellet supply pipe 2 producing swirl flow by gas in the casing to transport the pellets; an upper fine powder suction part 3 sucking and removing the fine powder separated from the pellets; a mesh filter 4 for separating pellets and fine powder and allowing only the fine powder to pass through; a lower fine powder suction part 5 sucking the fine powder having passed through the mesh filter 4; an internal partition cylinder 6 having a conical top part, and provided inside the casing so that its axis is coaxial with the axis of the casing while allowing the pellets with the fine powder sticking thereto to collide; and an air supply part 7 producing an ascending flow between the casing and the internal partition cylinder 6.
