A method for transmitting cell handover information is disclosed in the present invention, which includes the following steps: a first evolved NodeB(eNB) sends to a neighboring second eNB a handover parameter modification negotiation request, which contains the preset handover parameter settings from a first cell served by the first eNB to a second cell served by the second eNB; the second eNB receives the handover parameter modification negotiation request; when the second eNB refuses the handover parameter settings from the first cell to the second cell contained in the handover parameter modification negotiation request, it returns to the first eNB a handover parameter modification negotiation failure message, which contains the current handover information from the second cell to the first cell. A corresponding eNB is also disclosed in the present invention. The present invention optimizes the specific handover parameter settings and thus reduces the waste of network resource.
