<p>A method and system for ring network fault detection and locating are provided in the present invention. The method includes: the non-master node which has received the fault detection message sent by a master node forwards the fault detection message to the master node (201); the non-master node which has not received the fault detection message generates a fault locating message, and sends it to the master node (202); the master node detects and locates the faults of the ring network according to the received fault detection message and the fault locating message (203). With the present invention, multiple link faults in the ring network can be detected and located.</p> |
