PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition exhibiting excellent effects for oral administration or for external use using polyphenol originating from a strawberry.

SOLUTION: The composition for oral administration or for external use comprises a fraction which is obtained by subjecting a hot water extract of a strawberry to adsorption chromatography using an aromatic synthetic adsorbent, removing fractions passing through the column and fractions eluted with water, and then eluting with a 5-60% aqueous ethanol solution.
