PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound useful as an industrial chemical, etc., in the presence of a readily available highly active catalyst in high selectivity, by bringing a substituted oxime compound having 2-alkenyloxyimino group into contact with a platinum group metal compound catalyst in the presence of a specific nucleophilic reagent. CONSTITUTION:A substituted oxime compound having 2-alkenyloxyimino group is brought into contact with a platinum group metal compound catalyst e.g. salt, complex, etc., of Pd, platinum or rhodium, in the presence of at least one nucleophilic reagent selected from >=2C lower fatty acids and salts thereof, alkali metal salts of phenols and alkali metal salts of 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds, e.g. ammonium acetate or sodium phenoxide, to convert the 2-alkenyloxyimino group into hydroxyimino group and afford the aimed oxime compound. |
