PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device and a guide route search method, capable of changing a guide route during guide to a destination into as user's taste guide route by a simple operation without having to perform troublesome user operation. SOLUTION: When a congestion guide chart image wherein congestion states in a plurality of road sections existing on the front from a present place are arranged in the order of nearness from the present place is displayed, together with a map image, while guiding along a guide route to a destination from the present place of a vehicle, an object road section of an object to be set by changing a search condition and the search condition in the object road section are set, based on user operation to a touch panel, and a second guide route from the present place to the destination is searched for following the search condition set in the object road section. As a result, change in the search condition or setting of a road section to which the changed search condition is applied can be performed automatically, by only performing a simple operation to the touch panel by the user.
