PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a variation of a wavelength of laser light even if the strength of laser light is changed by the modulation of drive power. SOLUTION: A laser system has a DFB laser 10 having a semiconductor layer including an active layer 58 that irradiates laser light 14 whose strength is changed by modulating a drive power and a heater 16 that maintains an active layer 58 at a constant temperature and a controller 80 that applies heater power modulated by a signal obtained by reversing the modulation signal of the driving power to the heater 16 so as to cancel the temperature change of the active layer 58 caused by the modulated drive power.
