PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting support system with which even a beginner of a cutting tool can easily select the cutting tool and can early learn skills of cutting. SOLUTION: The cutting support system includes an input/output unit for inputting design drawing of a workpiece as drawing data, a drawing data analysis unit for classifying cut portions of the workpiece into predetermined cutting operations based on the drawing data and a cutting tool selecting unit for selecting the cutting tool suitable for the cutting. With this constitution, even a beginner of the cutting tool can easily select the cutting tool by automatically selecting the cutting tool based on the input drawing data and can rapidly learn the skills of cutting.
