PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve degradation strength of a housing, without increase in the accompanying number of components. SOLUTION: The driving device includes the housing formed by connecting a front housing 10 and a rear housing 80; a lead screw 34, rotating according to driving force generated by a motor 33; a support plate 35 fixed to the housing, and holding the lead screw 34 so that the lead screw 34 is rotatable; and a lens holder 60, disposed in the housing and moving along the extending direction of the lead screw 34 according to the rotation of the lead screw 34. The front housing 10 is provided with a notch OP1, extending along the extending direction of the lead screw 34, and the support plate 35 connects portions (corners 16 and 17) facing each other with the notch OP1 between them, in a direction of intersecting the extended direction of the notch OP1.
