Provided is an anode structure to be used in top-emission type organic EL elements, and which is provided with a laminated structure consisting of: an anode layer consisting of at least one type selected from the group consisting of aluminum, aluminum alloy, silver, and silver alloy; and a buffer layer installed directly on the anode layer, and which consists of conductive amorphous carbon having a hydrogen concentration of 15 at% or less. With such a structure, an anode structure is provided that enables the life-span of organic EL elements to become longer, and has excellent alkali resistance, while maintaining a high work-function suited for anodes of high-intensity and high power-efficiency organic EL elements. |
