Composition (I) comprises hydrogen-fixing alloy of formula (AB1 x) (II), and magnesium compound, which mass is greater than 0.1-= 5 mass% of the hydrogen-fixing alloy. A : La, Ce, Nd, Pr, and/or Mg; B1 : Ni, Mn, Fe, Al, Co, Cu, Zr, and/or Sn; and x : 3-6. Independent claims are included for: (1) an accumulator containing at least one electrode; and (2) a preparation of the electrode comprising: providing (II); providing a magnesium compound; preparing an aqueous mixture comprising the alloy and compound with the magnesium to form a paste; and depositing the paste on a support. |
