PURPOSE:To enable a smallest possible power consumption and an excellent gradation recording, by providing a circuit for generating such correction data that relation between recorded density and density data which correspond respectively to odd- numbered heat generating resistors and to even-numbered heat generating resistors is set to conform to a straight line or a predetermined curve. CONSTITUTION:Of reference density data outputted from a data counter 8, the same data as those supplied to a terminal B of a data selecting circuit 26 are supplied to a first correcting circuit 23, and the same data as those supplied to a data selecting circuit 26 through an inverting circuit 25 are supplied to a second correcting circuit 24. For data corresponding to odd-numbered ones of n heat generating resistors R1-R4, the reference density data outputted from a terminal Y of the selecting circuit 26 are so set that the density is gradually increased from a value of 0 representing non- development of color to a value of m representing a maximum developed color density. On the other hand, for data corresponding to even-numbered ones of the heat generating resistors, the reference density data are so set that the density is gradually decreased. By this, energization is controlled to achieved a density variation from black to white (colorless). |
