<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion valve of a refrigerant improved in resolution for controlling the degree of superheating in a refrigerant system without using a gear train. <P>SOLUTION: An expansion valve assembly 16 for the refrigerant includes a motor 30 having a stator 32 and a rotor 34, a first member 36 having a nut 46 and a first shaft 48, a rod 38, a second member 40, an energizing device 42, and a body 44. The rod 38 has a screw 50A, and the nut 46 has a corresponding screw 50B. The first shaft 48 has a screw 56A, and the second member 40 has a corresponding screw 56B. In one embodiment, a pitch of the screws 50A, 50B is larger than a pitch of the screws 56A, 56B. As displacement in the linear direction, of the screws 50A, 50B due to one rotation of the rotor 34 is larger than displacement of the screws 56A, 56B, the second member 40 moves downward to the body 44. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
