PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving power supply circuit for ultrasonic diagnostic equipment wherein it is possible to reduce surge voltage in a power supply used for a transmission circuit that drives an ultrasonic transducer. SOLUTION: The driving power supply circuit includes a DC-DC converter having an intra-converter switch for generating pulse voltage and outputs a voltage for driving an ultrasonic transducer based on the output of the DC-DC converter. The driving power supply circuit further includes an output period setting switch for switching the output of the DC-DC converter, a voltage doubler rectification circuit that boosts and rectifies a switched voltage and supplies the boosted and rectified voltage to the ultrasonic transducer, a fixed frequency oscillation circuit that outputs signals for turning on/off the output period setting switch, a phase control circuit that adjusts the phases of signals outputted from the fixed frequency oscillation circuit so that the output period setting switch is turned on within a time range in which an edge of a pulse generated by the intra-converter switch is not included, and a loop for feeding the output of the voltage doubler rectification circuit back to the DC-DC converter.
