PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production system allowing a plurality of production devices to be simply communicably connected with each other, enhancing the degree of freedom of the layout of the production devices, and enabling installation to be easily carried out. SOLUTION: The production system includes the plurality of the production devices 2 for carrying out production processing of a workpiece. The production device 2 has a processing part 21 for applying production processing to the workpiece, a control part 22 for transferring a signal between itself and the processing part 21 and controlling the action of the processing part, and an almost box-shaped device base body 23 for holding the processing part 21 and the control part 22. An optical radio communication means 4 electrically connected with the control part 22 and carrying out optical communication between itself and the outside of the device is arranged at an outer surface of any one or more of the processing part 21, the control part 22, and the device base body 23.
