PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transferring and loading an object to be welded which is capable of easily transferring and loading the large object and easily performing a work without damaging a plate-like electrode and the object in a spot welding machine in which the object is held by the flat plate-like electrode and a welding gun moved thereon, and pressed and conducted to perform the welding. SOLUTION: A spot welding machine has an elevating/lowering mechanism 3 which elevates/lowers a flat plate-like electrode 10, conveying roller units 6, 7 are arranged on both ends of the plate-like electrode, and a means is provided, which constitutes conveying stands 11, 12 on both ends thereof.
