<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a chip resistor, whereby the chip resistor can be manufactured more accurately. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a chip resistor includes the steps of forming a resistor layer 2 on a surface 7a of a substrate material 7; forming a plurality of grooves 71 in the substrate material 7, wherein the grooves extend along the direction x and are recessed from the surface 7a; forming a conductor layer 3 on a side surface 711 of each groove 71; and separating a plurality of base materials 73 along the direction y from each other, wherein the base materials are included in the substrate material 7 and divided by the grooves 71. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
