<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of operation by a user, and to return only a function operation section related to a necessary job processing function. <P>SOLUTION: Function operation sections 3 to 13 operate so as to perform job processing functions of the apparatus. A power-saving mode control unit 15 controls shift of the function operation sections 3 to 13 into a power-saving mode, whereas it controls the return of the power-saving mode to a normal mode. First instruction input sections 3c, 9a receive a first start instruction for returning one among the function operation sections 3 to 13. A second instruction input section 7a receives a second start instruction for returning the function operation sections 3 to 13 for executing the job processing function in succession to the function operation sections 3 to 13 returned by the first start instructions 3c, 9a.
