PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose the danger of the onset of cancer resulting from radioactive substances accumulated inside the body. SOLUTION: Using a positron CT as a detection means,γrays radiated from radium accumulated in asbestos bodies are detected. The system includes a ringlike detection apparatus 1 and a determination apparatus 2 which determines the dose of radiation detected by the detection apparatus 1 and determines the danger on the basis of the dose.
