摘要 <p>Procedure involves taking a sample of constant calibrated volume from the flow in a chromatography column, and transferring it to a secondary circuit with the evaporative light diffusion detector. The sample is delivered with a predetermined carrier fluid, and successive pulses are driven past the detector. The response coefficient of the detector is fixed at a value that enables analysis and/or improves its precision and reliability. Guidance procedure involves taking a sample of constant calibrated volume from the flow in a chromatography column comprising an eluant phase incorporating components to be analyzed, and transferring it to a secondary circuit with a branch for the evaporative light diffusion detector. The sample is delivered by an auxiliary pump with a predetermined carrier fluid independent of the eluant phase and having a predetermined flow rate. Successive pulses in the flow from the chromatography column are mixed with the carrier fluid and driven past the detector. The nature and flow rate of the carrier fluid are selected to fix the response coefficient of the detector at a value that enables analysis and/or improves its precision and reliability.</p>
