<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device ensuring sufficient assist force by a simpler construction without increasing the dimension thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The power steering device includes a warm wheel 11 integrally rotatably attached to a steering shaft rotated in a rotational direction according to a direction of a steering operation; a warm 12 engaged with the warm wheel 11; and a pair of power assist sections 20 and 30 disposed connectably to the warm 12, and assisting in rotation of the steering shaft in the rotational direction according to the direction of the steering operation. In the power assist sections 20 and 30, elastic energy is stored in spiral springs 24 and 34, and outer holding sections 21 and 31 and the warm 12 are connected by clutch means C1 and C2, respectively, when a steering torque in the direction of the steering operation exceeds a predetermined torque. The warm 12 is rotated by releasing the elastic energy stored in the spiral springs 24 and 34, interlockingly with the connection by the clutch means C1 and C2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
