PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure strength of a combustion chamber structure against fatigue due to low-cycle distortion. SOLUTION: In a wall surface inside of a cylinder head side water jacket 11 formed in a cylinder head 3, a part which abuts on a back side of a combustion chamber wall surface positioned between exhaust valves of the same cylinder to receive a large quantity of heat from the combustion chamber is formed with a bubble separation promoting part 20 having a surface characteristic for promoting separation of bubbles. With this structure, heat transmission ability of the bubble separation promoting part 20 being the wall surface of the cylinder head side water jacket 11, which abuts on the back side of the combustion chamber wall surface, is improved to restrict temperature rise in the periphery of the combustion chamber, and strength of the combustion chamber in high-load operation and fatigue characteristics can be secured, and strength of the combustion chamber structure against fatigue due to low-cycle distortion to be generated in a process from the time of cool-down to the time of high-load operation can be secured with a compact and light structure.
