<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image capturing apparatus capable of achieving facilitation of setting of light emission control of a built-in stroboscope and an external stroboscope when the external stroboscope is attached. <P>SOLUTION: The image capturing apparatus includes a first illuminator (3) which illuminates a subject by emitting flash light when photographing, a setting means which performs setting on the light emission control of the first illuminator, and an attaching means (5) to which a second illuminator (100) which illuminates the subject by emitting flash light when photographing is attached.
