PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reflection of room illumination or the like by a glossy surface when reading out an original document having a glossy surface, in a folding type image reading apparatus which reads the original document without adherence to an imaging unit. SOLUTION: A prevention member that prevents direct incidence of light that causes reflection to an original document, or a reflection prevention sheet is provided. The prevention member or the reflection prevention sheet has light transparency, and a function of scattering or diffusing the light.
