A fastening member 10, which is fastenable to an article 100, comprises a body member 12, and a pivotable gripping member 18 which extends from the body member 12 to the article 100. The gripping member 18 is arranged such that separation of the fastening member 10 from the article 12 causes pivoting of at least a portion of the gripping member 18 towards the article 100 thereby causing the gripping member 18 to grip the article 100 to resist further separation of the fastening member 10 from the article 100.
