CUTTER WHEEL AND METHOD FOR SCRIBING BRITTLE MATERIAL SUBSTRATE

PURPOSE: A cutter wheel is provided to form a high permeable scribe line even under a low load while preventing horizontal cracks or the split in an irregular direction. CONSTITUTION: A cutter wheel(10) comprises cross section V-shaped first blade sides(12) in which a first ridge angle is formed along the outer circumference of circle, and second blade sides(13) extended to a root of the first blade sides. A virtual second ridge angle which is formed when the second blade sides extend to the first blade sides, is smaller than the first ridge angle. Grooves are periodically formed and have the depth which reaches the second blade sides along the ridge of the first blade sides.
