PURPOSE: An air cavity ship having a transverse groove in a bottom part of a ship is provided to improve the durability of a traverse partition member by absorbing the impact, generated by water resistance, applied to a vertical partitioning member. CONSTITUTION: An air cavity ship comprises a longitudinal partition member(110), a traverse partition member(120), and a transverse groove. The longitudinal partition member divides a bottom part(101) of the ship in a longitudinal direction. The traverse partition member forms a space region(S) on the bottom part along with the longitudinal partition member.
