摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fused carbonate fuel cell power generation system and power generation method in this system, wherein a high generation efficiency and longer cell life are achieved. <P>SOLUTION: An air supplying means 23 which changes a supplied air pressure to a cathode 7 of the fused carbonate fuel cell is provided. The maximum generation efficiency in partial load operation is achieved by suppressing a cathode gas flow rate, while the cathode gas flow rate is increased in higher load operation than in the partial load operation by increasing the supplied air pressure. Further, a cathode gas recycling pipe 8 for recovering at least part of the cathode gas passing through the cathode 7 of the fused carbonate fuel cell, and for introducing the recovered gas to the prestage of the cathode 7, and a cooler 18 disposed therein for cooling the recovered cathode gas are provided. As a result, the maximum generation efficiency in partial load operation is achieved by suppressing the cathode gas flow rate in advance, and the cathode cooling capacity is backed up by cooling the recovered cathode gas in the higher load operation than in the partial load operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
