PURPOSE:To increase melting strength of a packing band. CONSTITUTION:When a synthetic resin band 1 made of polypropylene or the like is wound up on the outer periphery of a packed article 2 for packing, the superimposed part 15 at both ends of the band 1 is interposed between two couples of independent sealing heads 6, 7 provided with a specified interval in the longitudinal direction of the band 1 and vibration plates 8, 9. On the superimposed part 15, a pressure is applied by the sealing heads 6, 7 and on the counter faces of the band, a frictional force is generated due to the reciprocal motion of the vibration plates 8, 9 to melt and bond the superimposed part 15. |
