An object of the invention is to provide a substituted propanamide derivative or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof which is useful as a preventive agent or a therapeutic agent for a disease related to bone metabolism. The invention is directed to a pharmaceutical composition containing, as a active ingredient, a compound having the general formula (I): (wherein R1 represents a C6-C10 aryl group which may be substituted with a group selected from the substituent group .alpha. or the like, R2 represents a C6-C10 aryl group which may be substituted with a group selected from the substituent group .alpha. or the like and X represents a hydroxyl group, a C1-C6 alkoxy group or the like) or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof.
