PURPOSE: A multi-touch detecting apparatus on a projective capacitive touch screen and a method thereof are provided to remove ghost touch information from detected touch spot information. CONSTITUTION: Noise against obtained row electrode data and column electrode data is removed(S430). Offset data is removed from the row electrode data and column electrode data(S440). Touch point information of a user is detected about a touch screen from the row electrode data and column electrode data(S450). Information about an actually touched location is tracked among the detected touch spot information(S460).
