<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image coding apparatus and a program thereof. <P>SOLUTION: An image coding apparatus includes: a transformation part that transforms spatial domain image data into frequency domain image data; a grouping part that classifies a plurality of coefficient groups into the plurality of groups; a quantization coefficient calculation part that calculates a quantization coefficient used for quantizing the plurality of coefficients included in the respective the plurality of coefficient groups based on the number of coefficient groups classified in the plurality of groups and the values of the coefficient groups classified in the plurality of groups; a quantization part that quantizes the respective plurality of coefficients included in the respective plurality of coefficient groups obtained by the transformation by using the calculated quantization coefficient; and a coding part that encodes the plurality of coefficients included in the plurality of quantized coefficient groups to generate codes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
