PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printhead assembly including a plurality of printheads, a manifold and a plurality of inlet tubes. SOLUTION: Each printhead includes: a fluid inlet to receive fluid into the printhead; and a set of a plurality of nozzles to deposit fluid on a substrate. The manifold connected to the plurality of printheads includes: a fluid inlet conduit configured so as to receive fluids delivered to the plurality of printheads; a plurality of fluid inlet channels; and a plurality of fluid inlet valves. In the manifold, each fluid inlet channel connects the fluid inlet conduit to one of the printheads, and each fluid inlet valve is configured so as to control a flow of the fluid from the fluid inlet conduit to one of the fluid inlet channels. Each inlet tube has a proximal end integral to one of the printheads and one of the manifold, and a tip connected to the printhead and the other of the manifold by fluid-tight connection.
