<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a roll tape for a balance weight obtained by winding a double-sided self-adhesive tape in which a release sheet is easily released when a balance weight is attached. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a roll tape for a balance weight comprises: a separation step in which a substrate of a double-sided self-adhesive tape R0 is cut and separated into a first substrate portion T1 and a second substrate portion T2; a first winding step in which the first substrate portion is wound; and a second winding step in which the processed roll tape is obtained by winding the processed double-sided self-adhesive tape comprising the second substrate portion and a release sheet exposed at the portion from which the first substrate portion is removed.
