PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more properly determine an off-abnormality state in which some switching elements making up an inverter are kept off to disable operation at the occurrence of slippage.

SOLUTION: When a drive wheel idles to cause slippage, it is determined that a post-boosting voltage VH applied to an inverter has changed suddenly (step S180).
