<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation of reading accuracy related to color in an image reader. <P>SOLUTION: A white LED for generating light obtained by combining light rays from light emitters different from one another is used, a yellow reflecting plate Ref_Y comprising color of light generated by any one of the light emitters is used as an irradiation object, and image information generated based on light reflected from the yellow reflecting plate Ref_Y is obtained.
