The plate (12) is fixed to the sole (14) by screws (22). A rod (16), between the sole and the plate, is oval in cross section. It is bent at a right angle and its outer end (18) is near the sole's lateral edge. This is moved to turn its inner part (28), in a groove (38) in the plate. One surface of the rod (32) rests against the sole and its other surface (34) rests against the plate. It is turned between a released position in which the distance between these surfaces is least and a locked position in which it is greatest.
