PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus unable to read confidential information (personal information) that has been already printed without complicated operation, and to provide a printing method, and a program. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a confidential information storage 114 to store confidential information to be protected; a read head 50 to read an image recorded on a print target 2; a CPU 100 to retrieve the confidential information from the read image and extract the confidential information included in the read information; and a print head 32 to print the image in which confidential information extracted from the print target 2 can not be read.
