PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic strengthening member which achieves an earthquake resistant structure maintaining high authenticity and equipped with earthquake resistance, particularly by attaching a U-shaped column lining plate to a vertical column material on an inner wall surface of a plane of structure, in a plane-of-structure comprising a wall surface, a main column and a beam (sometimes substituted by a floor depending on the structure) of a building. SOLUTION: In the building structure comprising the wall surface, the vertical column material and the beam (sometimes substituted by the floor depending on the structure), the vertical column material is reinforced by attaching a column lining plate member to the vertical column material; and a window section made of float glass, and iron bars for fitting the float glass are mounted on the wall surface.
