摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire stable damping force uninfluenced by a mounting attitude and to generate large damping force by a compact and lightweight damper. <P>SOLUTION: A space surrounded by a case 1 and caps 2, 3 is filled with a granular material 10, and a piston 8 is displaced in the space relative to the case 1 with the movement of a rod 9. The caps 2, 3 receive force in a direction to always compress the granular material by springs 4, 5 respectively. When displacement is applied to the rod 9 to displace the piston 8 relative to the case 1, the granular material 10 flows with the movement of the piston 8 to thereby generate damping force. When force required to cause the flow of the granular material 10 is larger than force received by the caps 2, 3 from springs 4, 5, the caps 2, 3 are displaced into a position where the force and the force received by the caps 2, 3 from the springs 4, 5 are balanced. When the caps 2, 3 are displaced, the volume in the case filled with the granular material 10 increases to accelerate the flow of the granular material 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p>
