The method involves exchanging information i.e. bus information, between components (10, 12) and a device (16). The information is transferred between a control-device internal serial peripheral interface bus (8) and a control-device external communication connection (14) by a converter (6) i.e. bus converter, and a control device (4) is connected with the device by the communication connection. The information is directly processed by the components that are connected with the converter. Pulsing provided for transfer of the information is influenced by the converter. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for performing communication between a component of a control device and a device outside the control device.
