<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process cartridge, and an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, wherein when a process cartridge 3 is mounted on an image forming apparatus body 1A, the risk of trouble that a contact member causes hanging deformation is reduced, and it is smoothly mounted, thus reliability in the connection between the electric contact of the process cartridge and the electric contact provided on the image forming apparatus body is improved, and further, the reduction in the number of the parts of the contact constitution and the reduction in cost are achieved. <P>SOLUTION: Contact members 15a, 70 are arranged at abutting parts 10a, 23a provided for opening a photoreceptor shutter 10, thus, by the force of a photoreceptor shutter spring 15 biasing the photoreceptor shutter 10 toward a protective position, contact pressure between the contact member 15a of a cartridge 3 and the contact member 70 in the apparatus body 1A is obtained.
