PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal-bonded grinding wheel having long lifetime by limiting the content of a copper-tin alloy to be in a range of 20-40 vol.% of the whole. SOLUTION: As shown in Fig.(a) and Fig.(b), the grinding ratio and the grinding efficiency reach a peak when molten substance is contained by 30 vol.%. In Fig. (a), the grinding ratio of a conventional grinding wheel has been 210. If a horizontal line is drawn at the value of three times of the conventional grinding ratio, a range of the molten substance having the grinding ratio of 630 corresponds to 20-40 vol.%.
