The use of a complementary system offers a greater and improved control of basic switching functions of telephone exchanges, in particular of small-scale digital telephone exchanges, including the interconnection of telephone terminals, routing of telephone call routing, identification and delaying, verification of terminal status, inter alia, while complying with the original hardware and software aspects of the switching equipment in question.
