PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify structures of a fluid dynamic pressure bearing device and a motor using the device and to prevent leakage of a lubricating fluid. SOLUTION: A dynamic pressure bearing device includes a shaft member 24 having a shaft part 28 and a flange part 32, and a sleeve member 26 rotatable relative to the shaft member 24. A radial dynamic pressure bearing is constituted in a clearance between the outer peripheral surface of the shaft part 28 and the inner peripheral surface of the sleeve member 26, and a thrust dynamic pressure bearing is constituted in a clearance between one surface of the flange part 32 and a first facing surface of the sleeve member 26. The shaft member 24 or the sleeve member 26 is attracted by a magnetic force in an opposite direction to the support force in a thrust direction generated by the thrust dynamic pressure bearing.
