LUBRICANT FOR MAGNETIC DISC, AND MAGNETIC DISC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant for a magnetic disc, which is preferably used in a magnetic disc placed in a magnetic recorder operating on a heat assist magnetic recording mode and is excellent in heat resistance; and to provide a magnetic disc including a lubricant layer containing this lubricant.

SOLUTION: The lubricant for a magnetic disc contains a compound in which perfluoropolyether groups that have perfluoropolyether backbones in structures and have phosphazene ring in terminals are bound to each other through a linking group. The linking group is an aliphatic group or a phosphazene ring. In the magnetic disc including a magnetic recording layer, a protective layer and the lubricant layer on a substrate, the lubricant layer contains the lubricant for a magnetic disc.
