<p>The device (10) has a clamping device (14) e.g. hollow chuck and/or jaw chuck, for holding a tubular- or rod-shaped work piece (12), and a sawing device (24) for cutting the work piece. A drive device rotatively drives the work piece with respect to the sawing device, and a tool holder (18) i.e. revolver head (20), accommodates a tool i.e. lathe tool (22). The tool holder is separated from the sawing device, and is arranged in a horizontally movable manner. The tool arranged at the tool holder processes front sides and/or outer surfaces and/or inner surfaces of the work piece. An independent claim is also included for a method for machining tubular- or rod-shaped work pieces.</p> |
